The Denver Broncos are making moves in their search for a quarterback of the future, with Hall of Famer Peyton Manning revealing the team’s strong interest in Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy. But McCarthy is not the only top prospect catching the Broncos’ eye.
Athlonsports.com reports that the team is also looking closely at Oregon quarterback Bo Nix. The Broncos had a virtual meeting with Nix on March 7, followed by a private workout led by coach Sean Payton and other team officials just 11 days later.
With the 12th overall pick in the upcoming draft and no second-round pick to use for compensation, the Broncos may need to be strategic in their quarterback selection. They could be waiting to see which quarterback falls to them when their turn comes on draft day.
To add to the quarterback mix, the Broncos recently acquired Zach Wilson in a trade with the Jets. Wilson will join Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci on the depth chart as the team continues to explore their options for the upcoming season.
As the Broncos continue their search for a quarterback, fans are eagerly awaiting the outcome of the draft and what it could mean for the team’s future. Stay tuned for more updates on KP INSIDER.
