Apple Releases Second Public Beta of iOS 17, iPadOS 17, watchOS 10, tvOS 17, and macOS Sonoma
Apple has recently announced the release of the second public beta of its latest software updates, including iOS 17, iPadOS 17, watchOS 10, tvOS 17, and macOS Sonoma. These updates have been available for developers to beta test since June and have now been made accessible to users registered in the Apple Beta Software Program.
Although the builds of watchOS 10 and tvOS 17 remain unchanged from the previous developer releases, revised builds of iOS 17 and macOS Sonoma have been unveiled. Surprisingly, there are no new features included in these versions, as indicated by the relatively unchanged build numbers.
Among the noteworthy changes, iOS 17 introduces improvements to the Phone, Messages, and FaceTime apps, as well as a new Standby feature that allows users to display information in landscape mode. iPadOS 17, on the other hand, offers customization options for Lock Screen and introduces new apps, providing users with a more tailored and personalized experience. In the case of macOS Sonoma, enhancements have been made to the Messages and FaceTime apps, along with the introduction of a new Game Mode, which promises an enhanced gaming experience. Lastly, watchOS 10 presents users with a revamped interface for Apple Watch apps, ensuring a more user-friendly and intuitive interaction. As for tvOS 17, it enables FaceTime on the Apple TV, allowing users to make video calls directly from their television.
Apple has confirmed that these software updates will be officially released to the public in the fall. However, it is important to note that beta software may contain bugs that could impact device performance. Therefore, users are advised to back up their data before installing the beta software and avoid installing it on their primary devices.
